Set in the beautiful Normandy countryside, on the outskirts of the village of Surtainville, is our modern detached cottage. The surroundings are beautiful, overlooking the sand dunes.

It has been our holiday home for over 15 years and we like to take every opportunity to spend time there, relaxing away from the usual hustle and bustle of everyday life.

It is in the perfect location, whether you want to just relax in its surroundings, or to take your car and go further exploring Normandy.

Having young children, we have a special fondness of the gorgeous 11km sandy beach, which is only a few minutes walk away. It is an uncrowded beach and ideal for beach games, going for a stroll or just relaxing. Even out of season, we enjoy rock pooling or flying a kite.

There is plenty of grass surrounding this property and there are a selection of outdoor games for your use, together with garden furniture and a BBQ, so why not relax, play a game of bowls for example and light up the BBQ. Have a glass of wine or two and enjoy the tranquil surroundings.

At the end of the day, with the luxury of being right beside the dunes, you can have the added benefits of relaxing to watch the sun set and looking up to the clear, starry sky.
